In the winter cross country skiers find 35 km (22 miles) of snow garanteed runs. This includes 10 km (6.25 miles) of well maintained skating run. Additionally you can dicover all the natural beauty of the Jachenau valley using hiking trails.
If you plan to ski the Brauneck Ski arena of Lenggries is just a 20 min drive away. Other ski areas like Garmisch, Seefeld or Christlum can be reached within 45 min. Jachenau also has a skilift. You can test your abilities at the 350 m long skilift "Mühle" for very little money. Or do you want to sledge or ice skate? Jachenau features a 20 x 40 m, all natural ice skating area.
