The restaurant and hotel "Gasthof Post" was established more than 100 years ago. For several decade it was used as a postal station ("Königlich-Bayerische Posthalterei"). It is found just below the St. Nikolaus church at the center of Jachanau. Folks from all 29 parts of the village love to stop by to have a drink, a bit to eat, when they want to celabrate something or when they simply want to treat themselves with something delicious. To spend some time you have lot sof choices like the beer garden, the eat in porch or the cozy farmhouse palor. Our chef Robert Joachim is an expert when it comes to treat our guests. His brother Daniel Joachim is a master butcher and selects the best meats. Local Jachenau hunters deliver deer and all our fish in grown in our own fishery or is brought to us from local waters

If you are very hungry you should stop by on Wednesdays. Because this is when we have our "schnitzelparade" with the probably biggest schnitzel in Bavaria: This schnitzel has a length of 50 cm (21 inches) and comes with a cheese sauce, potatoes and mountain cranberries. There are various other way you can enjoy your schnitzel for 10,80 EUR only. Vegetarians can choose between a variaty of special selected vegetarian dishes. The beer (Löwenbräu, Becks or Franziskaner), coffee specialities and some fine wine invite you to stay a little bit longer. Our playground keeps the kids entertained, while you treat yourself and enjoy our services.
